The trim is a rugged appearance package upgrade.
The XRT is based on the SEL version with the Convenience package.
For SUVs buyers, an off-road appearance is more meaningful than actual capabilities. Call it a trend but many automakers are jumping on this latest fad which is catching on. For the 2022 Santa Fe, Hyundai has devised a new XRT trim designed to cater to buyers who love the look.
For the moment, only Hyundai USA has formally announced the new XRT trim. The XRT will start off life as an SEL trim with the Convenience package. The new trim will include the following features:
Front and rear black lower bumper fascia molding
Dark silver front and rear skid plates
XRT-exclusive black door side moldings
XRT-exclusive side steps
XRT-exclusive 18-inch dark alloy wheels
Matte-black grille
Black mirror covers
Black roof side rails and cross rails
In the US, the XRT will be available a FWD model or with Hyundai’s optional HTRAC AWD system. Should it be offered in Canada, there’s little doubt that only an AWD iteration will be for sale.
The Santa Fe XRT FWD is priced at $32,300, and the XRT AWD goes for $34,000. They are beginning to arrive at dealerships now.
