The new variant was developed to appeal to customers seeking additional utility without departing from the styling and driving experience associated with the Polestar 4 nameplate. The SUV retains the model’s focus on performance, sustainability and distinctive Scandinavian-inspired design.
Alongside the introduction of the SUV, Polestar has updated chassis tuning across the Polestar 4 range. Revised settings are intended to deliver more refined handling and strengthen the vehicle’s sporty driving characteristics.
Both the Polestar 4 SUV and the Polestar 4 coupé continue to use the company’s established 400-volt EV architecture. Rear-motor versions are rated for up to 630 km WLTP (539 km EPA) of driving range. The dual-motor models produce up to 544 hp.

Michael Lohscheller, Polestar’s chief executive officer, said the existing Polestar 4 has generated strong customer demand by combining distinctive styling with performance and everyday usability. He said the addition of the SUV provides greater versatility while preserving the character that has made the model successful.
Production of the Polestar 4 SUV will take place at Polestar’s manufacturing facility in Busan, South Korea. The company plans to make the vehicle available for order in most of its global markets following the September 2nd sales launch.
