The new Scout vehicles are built on a dedicated body-on-frame chassis, which includes a solid rear axle and mechanical lockers, to provide the strength and performance Scout fans expect. The Terra truck is projected to offer over 10,000 lbs. in towing capacity, with the Traveler SUV expected to handle upwards of 7,000 lbs. Both models boast nearly 2,000 lbs. of payload capacity, along with advanced suspension options, up to 35-inch tires, and ground clearance exceeding one foot.

Scout Motors offers both all-electric and range-extended options for the Traveler and Terra. Fully electric models have a projected range of 350 miles (560+ km), while extended-range variants, powered by a small gas engine generator, can cover more than 500 miles (over 800 km) on a single charge. The vehicles will use the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and support 800-volt architecture and up to 350 kW charging.

The rugged exterior design of the Traveler and Terra includes features like a short front overhang, integrated bumpers, and options for off-road-ready wheels and tires. Both vehicles have spacious interiors with durable materials, mechanical knobs, and the Scout Community UX, a digital interface that prioritizes simplicity and usability. The Traveler offers a split tailgate and a spare tire carrier, while the Terra includes a 5.5-foot bed equipped with 120V and 240V outlets for powering tools or appliances on the go.

Scout Motors has developed an exclusive direct-to-customer sales model for the Traveler and Terra, bypassing traditional dealerships. This approach will streamline the buying and service experience, and Scout will support customers with dedicated retail spaces for test drives and service through its Scout Workshops.

The entry-level Traveler model starts from $50,000 with incentives, while retail prices are set below $60,000. The Terra entry model begins at $51,500 with incentives and is also priced under $60,000 at retail. Production is slated to commence in 2027.
