Subaru Canada Unveils the 2025 BRZ 紫 Murasaki Edition, of Which only 100 will be Made

• This limited edition is based on the BRZ tS.

• An exclusive paint colour and unique interior accents are part of the package.

• Only 100 examples of the Murasaki Edition will be available in Canada.

The 2025 Subaru BRZ gains a new special edition in the form of the 紫 Murasaki Edition, a model that will be limited to only 100 units in Canada.

With a Japanese name translating to purple, it is not surprising that the first thing we notice when looking at the BRZ 紫 Murasaki Edition is its exclusive Galaxy Purple Pearl paint colour.

Based on the regular tS version of the small sports coupe, this special edition also adds silver grey graphics at the bottom of the doors, a black rear spoiler, and silver-painted 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the 紫 Murasaki Edition continues to distinguish itself with exclusive light grey accents on the black leather and Ultrasuede upholstery as well as the door panels, along with grey stitching throughout.

A little silver badge placed in front of the shifter reminds the driver and passenger of the rarity of the car they are sitting in.

While many limited editions include only cosmetic elements, the Subaru BRZ 紫 Murasaki Edition does make some performance enhancing changes to the tS model it builds on.

Indeed, a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission is exclusive to this model, which also adds gold-coloured Brembo high-performance brake callipers and Hitachi-Astemo front dampers.

A flexible STI V-bar takes place under the hood to increase the vehicle’s rigidity, and therefore improve its handling characteristics.

The 2,4L Boxer four-cylinder engine remains unchanged, delivering an output of 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via the aforementioned manual transmission.

Pricing for the 2025 BRZ 紫 Murasaki Edition is set by Subaru Canada at $39,295 and deliveries will begin this spring.
