Dodge’s original plan was for one model year only.
It’s still the most powerful SUV ever.
This time though, it’s really the last call, the final round, and it’s bittersweet. Yes, the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will once more be offered for sale however, unlike in 2021 when the plan was to offer it for only one model year, this time, it will be sold for only one model year.
Friends, if you’ve got a family, love to go out and enjoy life, and have a decent fuel budget, there is no alternative to the 710-horsepower 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. Thanks to the “710”, the Durango remains the most powerful SUV ever, besting the recently launched Aston Martin DBX 707 and all others. The not-so-secret weapon is the Durango SRT’s supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 Hellcat engine which also produces a massive 645 lb.-ft. of torque.
Despite the promise of massive performance such as a 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)-certified quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.5 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph, it’ll still do SUV things.
2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Review: The Pinnacle of ICE Insanity
“The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat has generated a crazy amount of enthusiasm and demand since it was introduced in 2020 — we even extended its initial production run — so it seemed appropriate to bring back the most powerful SUV ever as part of our historic 2023 model-year Dodge lineup,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis. “Muscle enthusiasts also have families, and the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat can get those families where they want to go and has the ability to tow 8,700 pounds.”
The 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is loaded with all the latest tech, as expected, such as an available 10.1-inch touchscreen, and a unique Uconnect with SRT Drive modes including Launch Control.
Orders for the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will open in September 2022, with the Hellcat scheduled to arrive in dealerships in early 2023.
