The EQA is the electric version of the compact GLA crossover.
This EV will be an entry-point into Mercedes-Benz’s EQ family.
Mercedes-Benz isn’t skipping a single beat. They’ve introduced a slew of new EVs over the last year, including the midsize EQC SUV. The next reveal will involve what should quickly become Benz’s more popular electric offering, the EQA.
The EQA, or the electrified iteration of the very popular compact GLA crossover, will initially be offered with a power output of 140 kW, or 188 horsepower. The initial models to be assembled will be front-wheel-drive however Mercedes-Benz stipulates that a 200 kW, or 268-horsepower, version is also in the works. As well, an all-wheel-drive option will follow eventually.
This EV will be targeted to young urban groups that won’t accept a basic EV. The new EQA will include a standard navigation system with Electric Intelligence to maximize range. Based on the images shared by Mercedes-Benz, the EQA will, at the very least, be available with the dual 10.25-inch digital displays along with the ultra-cool centrally-located triple vents.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz EQA world premiere will take place on January 20th at 11 am CET. Follow this link to see the digital reveal.
