The Ford GT is entering its final production run.
Horsepower was bumped to 660 last year.
The Studio Collection is about customized paint and decals.
The Ford GT is an exceptional and extremely rare car. It’s also, for all intents and purposes, old news. All these reasons explain why we see and read so little about the supercar today. The next two model years will be the GT’s last and to mark this incredible car’s passing, Ford has created the Studio Collection. This is the first GT from the collection to arrive.
Only 40 of these Studio Collection Ford GTs will be assembled, 20 in 2021 and the remainder in 2022. This first unit, assembled as always by Multimatic, is painted Shadow Black with a series of Competition Orange stripes and accents. This series of GTs will be the second most exclusive, after only the 12 Liquid Carbon Edition cars built every model year.
In 2021, Ford will launch a new series of GT Heritage limited to 50 units. As noted by CarBuzz, this series will pay tribute to Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby’ GT40 Mk II they drove at the 1966 Daytona 24H Continental race.
