The 2021 Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus Boot 4-door will be manufactured next year and will have a starting price of $287,500 USD. An armoured version will also be available.
James Glickenhaus and his company, SCG, will finally build the Boot and participate in the Baja 1000 this year with their new off-road vehicle. Announced via Facebook Marketplace by the founder himself, we can see that five models of the SCG Boot 2-door, will be produced this year. Unfortunately, they are already sold out.
From what one can understand from the ad; one of these five Boot would be a street-legal AND race version that the company calls SCG Boot Road Legal Race. SCG adds that some 2020 Road Legal Race versions remaining may be accompanied by a Baja 1000 entry with full support from the company.
The 4-door Boot will be produced in 2020 for delivery in 2021. It will sell for $287,500 USD. Only 20 of these vehicles will be produced and SCG says there are only 17 left.
The company also offers an SCG Boot Armored (Level 6) option, which is available at a cost of $166,750 USD.
On the engine side, the vehicle is powered by a 6.2L V8 LT4 found in the Corvette Z06. This engine develops 650 hp.
The announcement also speaks of an interesting feature about the seats and the interior arrangement. Indeed, the front seats are more centered in the vehicle, which allows an offset arrangement of the rear seats. The manufacturer states that this arrangement ensures that rear passengers have more legroom. In addition, it reduces the motion sickness since the rear passengers do not have to look at the front head restraints.
