This Golf wagon is the recipient of an Audi RS 3 powertrain.
It launches and makes about 500 horsepower at the wheels.
We kid you not, we’d listened to the 24-second video Innovative Motorsports shared on their Facebook page more than 25 times so far. If you’re familiar with VAG stuff, you’ll immediately have recognized the sound of Audi’s melodious and powerful 5-cylinder engine. The interesting bit is that the symphony is emanating from a Volkswagen Alltrack.
The full final video is what you see up top and it’s a breakdown of what went into this incredible compact station wagon. Innovative Motorsports, located in Milford, CT, is the shop that put this super-sleeper car together and we simply can’t get enough of it.
Everything that was done to the car is right, e v e r y t h i n g, and it only took about four weeks. From the plaid seat inserts to the RS 3 exhaust tip, this Alltrack, known as RSR #3, is flawless. “How flawless?” How about Ohlins coil-over dampers? An MK6 Golf R steering wheel, a full 3-inch custom exhaust, and Audi RS 3 brakes?
And possibly the best part is that there are no lights on in the cluster. None. No, actually, the best part is the sound of the boosted inline-5-cylinder revving to the stratosphere.
