What do you get the car that already has everything? You give it more of what it already has with one exception.
McLaren has just announced the arrival of the Track Pack for the 720S. Using a 720S Performance car, the package adds hood and rear fender air intakes, all of which are made of carbon fibre, super-lightweight 10-Spoke forged wheels, an “MSO Defined Gloss Finish Visual Carbon Fibre Active Rear Spoiler” and sport exhaust.
The cabin gains lightweight carbon fibre racing seats, positioned ahead of a mounted titanium bar which supports 6-point harnesses for both driver and passenger. The steering wheel is trimmed in black Alcantara and complemented by “MSO Defined Satin Visual Carbon Fibre Extended Gearshift Paddles.”
What about the exception? The car drops 24 kg in the process. Tech-wise, the Track Pack includes the McLaren Track Telemetry (MTT) system. It uses three video cameras built into the car and data-logging software. It allows the driver to monitor and analyse their performance in the name of going faster the next time around.
The £28,360 Track Pack coincides with the arrival of the 2019 McLaren 720S GT3.
