An image appeared last week on the web and it could be the new 2022 Alfa Romeo GTV, reports an Italian site.
Last summer, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced the arrival of 30 new electrified models in its range by 2022. Some of them have already been unveiled, such as the Compass and Renegade PHEV, others are about to make their appearance, like the Jeep Wrangler PHEV we saw last month cruising the streets of Ann Harbor.
This weekend, an image made the rounds on the web, and it would be the Alfa Romeo GTV according to the Italian website ClubAlfa.it. According to the latter, the model, which was presented at an official Alfa Romeo event, should be part of the list of 30 new FCA models with an expected unveiling in 2022.
According to the Italian site, the GTV would be powered by the 2.9L V6 twin-turbo engine currently found in the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. This engine, combined with an electric motor, would develop more than 600 horses. The electric range of the Alfa Romeo GTV would be about 50 km.
ClubAlfa.it also reports that the GT should be based on the Giorgio modular platform. We can find this platform on several new models of the Italian brand such as Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio. In addition, this new Alfa Romeo Coupe could be assembled at the factory of Cassino which manufactures the two models mentioned along with the Giulietta.
