This is the first time an XRT trim will be added to a Hyundai.
Thoughts include a blacked-out version or perhaps a more rugged iteration.
It will fit between the SEL and Limited trims in the US.
Details on this soon-to-be-introduced 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT are scarce. The only clear indication is that it will be priced at $33,485 in the US and that AWD will be an option.
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Luxury Hybrid Review: An Impossible To Ignore SUV
This all-new trim was discovered in a recent order guide for the Santa Fe’s 2022 model year. Other than the price, Motor1 reports that this XRT will be powered by the SUV’s base 2.5-litre 4-cylinder which produces 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The fact that it will be offered as a FWD or, optionally, AWD, lends more credence to a black-out edition, like a Kia Nightfall Edition, than an off-road-looking version. The XRT is said to feature select 18-inch dark two-tone alloy wheels while the interior is limited to black cloth.
Pricing for the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe starts at $27,200 in the US or $200 more than the 2021 model year. In Canada, for the moment, only the 2021 is available.
