Honda recently announced the arrival of its updated 2024 Passport to Canadian dealerships this December, emphasizing its enhanced off-road performance, updated design, and versatile interiors. This midsize SUV has been revamped with two standout models: the TrailSport and the Black Edition.
The 2024 Passport TrailSport has been updated with off-road enthusiasts in mind. This model, dubbed the most rugged Passport to date, boasts a new off-road tuned suspension and trail-ready all-terrain tires, aiming to deliver optimal performance in challenging terrains. Unique to the TrailSport, General Grabber A/T tires improve traction across various terrains, from sand and mud to rocky paths and snow, while maintaining on-road comfort.
The TrailSport interior features orange contrast stitching and includes standard wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, and multiple USB charging ports. Steve Hui, Assistant Vice President Honda Canada, remarked that the updated lineup underscores Honda’s commitment to producing rugged yet comfortable SUVs for Canadians.
In contrast, the Black Edition is Honda’s answer to those seeking a blend of audacity and luxury. Available in multiple colors, this edition stands out with its black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels, blackout treatments, and exclusive Black Edition badges. On the inside, the Black Edition exudes a premium ambiance with red-accented perforated leather seating, red contrast stitching, and special accent lighting.
Every 2024 Passport, starting with the Sport model, features Honda’s 280-horsepower 3.5-litre V6 engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission, and the acclaimed torque-vectoring i-VTM4 all-wheel drive. This model is priced starting at $48,480 in Canada. Other noteworthy features across the lineup include a one-touch power moonroof, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an improved center-console storage. Furthermore, all 2024 Passport models come standard with the Honda Sensing suite, including various safety and driver-assistive technologies.
