2024 Toyota GR Supra: Celebrating 45 Years of Supra Heritage in Style

Embodying Performance and Heritage, Toyota Unveils the Limited Edition GR Supra 2024


The Toyota GR Supra, inheriting a legacy of sports performance that spans back to the 1979 Celica Supra, has released its 2024 lineup, headed by the exclusive 45th Anniversary Special Edition. This limited production model, part of a four-grade lineup, honours the Supra’s long-standing heritage and is offered in a unique Plasma Orange colour.

The 2024 GR Supra offers two engine sizes and two transmissions, which, when paired with Sport Mode, offer crisper shifts, sharpened throttle response, and more aggressive differential tuning. Its exterior design is distinctive, featuring a wide grille, large air intakes, a double-bubble cabin roof, six-lens LED headlights, and dual rear exhaust outlets with brushed stainless steel tips. Buyers can choose from seven body colours, including Absolute Zero, Nocturnal, Renaissance Red 2.0, Burnout, Stratosphere, CU Later, and Plasma Orange.

Inside, the two-seater GR Supra showcases a driver-focused design with an asymmetrical centre console, complete with side knee padding. A host of features, including the Toyota Smart Key System with Push Button Start, heated seats, dual zone automatic climate control, and carbon fibre interior trim, are provided as standard. Its instrument cluster is led by a 3D tachometer, with customizable displays showing key driving information, navigation, and entertainment options.

Safety is central to the GR Supra’s design. Each model features a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety measures, including a Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist, full-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, a backup camera, and far more.

Toyota Canada’s 2024 GR Supra lineup spans four models, each equipped to suit different driver needs. From the entry-level GR Supra 2.0 that offers an authentic sports coupe experience with its 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine, to the high-performance GR Supra 3.0 Premium AT with its 3.0L turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine, delivering a pulse-racing 382 horsepower. The range also includes the GR Supra 3.0 Premium MT, fitted with a six-speed intelligent manual transmission, and the celebratory GR Supra 3.0 45th Anniversary Special Edition, finished in Plasma Orange with unique black exterior side graphics.

Now on sale, the starting MSRP of the 2024 Toyota GR Supra is $58,010, reflecting its high performance and luxurious amenities. This latest release confirms the enduring appeal and strength of the Supra brand in the global sports car market.
