2027 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label
Lincoln is introducing a series of updates to the Nautilus for the 2027 model year. Rather than fundamentally reinventing its midsize luxury SUV, the automaker is refining the existing formula with refreshed exterior styling, new interior environments and an expanded list of technology features.
The changes arrive as the Nautilus continues to gain traction in the premium SUV segment. Perhaps even more significant for Lincoln, in the USA, nearly 65% of Nautilus buyers are reportedly coming from competing premium utility brands. It is another indication that Lincoln’s image and customer base are gradually evolving.
The Nautilus has consequently become an increasingly important product for Lincoln in one of the most competitive segments of the luxury market.
The most obvious changes are found up front. The 2027 Lincoln Nautilus receives a wider and more detailed grille, accompanied by a redesigned hood and more sculpted fenders. The changes give the SUV a stronger presence without departing significantly from Lincoln’s current design language.
The lighting signature has also been revised to create greater visual continuity from front to rear. At the back, slimmer taillights place greater emphasis on the Lincoln lettering.
Depending on the trim, five wheel designs ranging from 19 to 22 inches are available. The Jet Appearance Package, offered on Premiere, Ultra/Reserve and Black Label models in the U.S., adds gloss-black treatments to the grille and several exterior elements. The package can be paired with either 20- or 22-inch wheels.
Two new exterior colours also join the lineup. Nocturnal Blue is available throughout the range, while Frosted Fig, a plum-purple finish, is exclusive to Black Label models.
Lincoln is putting even greater emphasis on interior personalization for 2027. The lighter Afterglow theme is available on Premiere and Ultra models, while Ultra buyers can also select the Hot Chocolate interior.
Black Onyx has been updated as well, combining an all-black lower section with lighter surfaces throughout the upper cabin.
The biggest changes, however, are reserved for Black Label models, which gain two new interior themes. Unfortunately for Canadian buyers, the Nautilus Black Label remains unavailable in Canada.
Eminent Hour draws inspiration from a desert sunset. It combines Tranquil Dusk Menorca seating, Eminent Fade perforations, warm-coloured stitching, open-pore Eminent Copper Ash wood and an Ebony headliner.
Elysian Light takes a considerably brighter approach, drawing inspiration from sunrise over water. The cabin combines Soft Cloud leather with Still Water Blue accents, Pearlescent Ash wood and a Soft Cloud headliner.
Lincoln’s attention to textures, perforations and subtle details that become more noticeable through ambient lighting illustrates the brand’s current approach to luxury. Rather than simply adding decorative elements, Lincoln is increasingly focused on creating a distinctive atmosphere inside the vehicle.
Comfort and Wellness Remain a Priority
Lincoln is also expanding the Nautilus’ comfort and wellness features. The Renew Package becomes available on Reserve 200A models and combines Lincoln Rejuvenate with 24-way Perfect Position front seats featuring memory and massage functions.
Lincoln Rejuvenate coordinates several vehicle systems while the Nautilus is parked, including the displays, audio environment, seating position and climate controls, to create a multisensory relaxation experience. Digital Scent can also introduce selected fragrances into the cabin.
Passenger space remains another Nautilus strength. Lincoln claims 43.1 inches (109.5 cm) of second-row legroom, putting the SUV among the more spacious offerings in its segment.
The Nautilus’ dramatic digital interface remains largely unchanged for 2027. The Lincoln Digital Experience continues to use a massive 48-inch panoramic display positioned along the base of the windshield, complemented by a central touchscreen used to control various vehicle functions.
The Lincoln Connectivity Package is also an important part of the standard equipment. It includes built-in Google Maps, Google apps and voice assistance, along with four years of activated connectivity. Navigation, connected applications and an unlimited Wi-Fi hotspot are included during that period.
Lincoln also includes four years of the Lincoln Security Package and four years of BlueCruise 1.5. The hands-free highway driving system can perform automatic lane changes to help the vehicle maintain the flow of traffic.
Lincoln is not making major mechanical changes to the Nautilus for 2027. The standard engine remains a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder producing 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The alternative is the Nautilus Hybrid, which combines a high-output turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with a 100-kW electric motor. Total system output is rated at 285 horsepower, with power delivered through a continuously variable transmission.
The hybrid has become increasingly important to the Nautilus lineup. According to Lincoln, more than half of all Nautilus models sold are now equipped with the hybrid powertrain.
For 2027, Lincoln is therefore refining rather than reinventing its midsize luxury SUV. More personalization, a stronger emphasis on interior ambience and an extensive technology package build on a formula that appears to be resonating with buyers.
