Mitsubishi confirms two vehicle launches in Canada in the second half of 2026.
New Outlander variant features off-road upgrades and S-AWC all-wheel drive system.
All-new BEV to enter Canadian market in late summer 2026.
Mitsubishi Motors will add worthy vehicles to its Canadian product lineup in Fiscal Year 2026 with two new models, including an off-road-focused version of the Outlander SUV and a previously announced battery-electric vehicle (BEV).
The off-road Outlander, launching in late 2026, will feature drive modes and performance enhancements tailored to off-pavement use. Unique exterior and interior design elements will differentiate the model from the standard Outlander, including specialized bodywork and interior materials. The vehicle will also include an upgraded version of Mitsubishi’s Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Ralliart Performance SUV Once More Under Review
Mitsubishi said both vehicles are part of the automaker’s “Momentum 2030” strategy, which was introduced to its dealer network in May 2024. The roadmap will modernize the brand’s somewhat lagging North American lineup, which began its renewal with the launch of the refreshed 2025 Outlander.
The off-road Outlander shows that it wants to reemphasize its off-highway heritage. The company highlighted the role of its S-AWC system, developed through experience in the Dakar Rally and World Rally Championship, in enhancing the new model’s capabilities. This is why we think that Ralliart is the right nomenclature for the new model.
The all-new BEV, first announced in May 2024, is scheduled for release in late summer 2026. Both models are expected to enter the Canadian market during the company’s Fiscal Year 2026, which runs from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
Further details, including the name and official images of the off-road Outlander, will be shared closer to launch.
