AJAC Announces 2020 Canadian Car of the Year and Utility Vehicle of the Year Finalists

Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) announces finalists in twelve categories.

  • Three finalists in each of 12 vehicle categories have been announced.
  • More than 1,200 ballots were entered over nearly a year’s time.
  • New AJAC CCOTY and CUVOTY means previous year winners are eligible.

AJAC’s new CCOTY and CUVOTY program includes winners from previous years which means that the true cars and utility vehicles of the year are awarded even though they may not be entirely new. As well, ballots are open nearly year round so they are entered following week-long test drives, first drive launch events as well as drive events.

Winners in each category will be announced on January 16, 2020, at the Montreal International Auto Show. Overall winners be known on February 13, 2020 at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.
