AJAC Announces 2021 Best New Automotive Innovations

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) hands out its coveted innovation of the year awards

  • Safety and electrification take home the honours.

  • Honda’s “winged” front airbag is the best safety innovation.

  • Ford’s new 2021 F-150 shines thanks to its innovative “electrified” features such as its hybrid powertrain and Pro Power onboard generator.

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) is not only tasked with picking out the best vehicles of the year. One of their key roles is to also select the most relevant and advanced new features available from automakers. These are the 2021 Automotive Innovation Awards.

“AJAC’s Innovation Awards represent some of the most important modern advancements in automotive technology,” said Stephanie Wallcraft, AJAC President. “Our jurors assess the nominated technologies through a comprehensive assessment and analysis process and submit their selections by secret ballot to ensure complete objectivity. Canadians can be assured that the vehicles featuring the winning technologies integrate some of the most significant innovations on today’s automotive market.”
