The new Tesla Cybertruck pickup is expected next year
Will offer a quad-motor setup in its most powerful version
Elon Musk says we can expect many new technologies in the Cybertruck
Elon Musk isn’t cutting corners when praising the future Cybertruck, Tesla’s 100% electric pickup whose first deliveries are scheduled for next year.
The Cybertruck has seen its fair share of delays since it was unveiled, but it looks like the wait will be worth it for the hundreds of thousands of consumers who have booked Tesla’s electric truck.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Musk promised that the Cybertruck would have technologies never before seen on a Tesla product. Without going into detail, the Tesla founder insisted the new Cybertruck would be the California brand’s best product yet.
We know that the Cybertruck will be equipped with an engine with four electric motors in its most powerful version, which has never been done before on a Tesla product. The Tesla Model S Plaid has three motors. The power will therefore be phenomenal and we are already talking about more than 800 kilometers (500 miles) of range and a 0-100 km/h time (62 mph) of less than 3.0 seconds for the new Cybertruck.
Unveiled two years ago at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Cybertruck has been postponed several times, but we should see the new Tesla truck make its debut next year.
