Fifteen Eleven Design, located in Bakewell, Derbyshire, has unveiled a remarkable transformation of the iconic Porsche 914 model, presenting a restomod that artfully combines classic design with contemporary enhancements.
Central to the restomod’s appeal is its upgraded powertrain. Fifteen Eleven Design has seamlessly integrated a potent 3.8-liter six-cylinder Cayman engine into the Porsche 914, resulting in a commanding 400bhp output. This notable increase in power has been achieved through meticulous engineering, including the utilization of forged pistons, a Life Racing ECU, and drive-by-wire throttle. The stainless steel exhaust system further refines the engine’s performance.
The restomod experience extends beyond the engine. The suspension system has been comprehensively upgraded, utilizing Reiger adjustable coilovers integrated into a Cayman-based framework. This enhancement substantially improves handling and driving dynamics. Additionally, the use of T45 tubular steel has been strategically employed to enhance structural rigidity.
The exterior of the Porsche 914 has undergone a contemporary makeover, featuring lightweight carbon fiber construction. This choice of material not only contributes to a sleeker appearance but also accommodates redesigned components such as the hood, bumper, and a subtle yet effective ducktail spoiler. The inclusion of 18-inch Fuchs wheels adds to the vehicle’s visual appeal.
Inside the cabin, practical refinements enhance the overall driving experience. A redesigned bulkhead increases interior space, resulting in improved comfort. The cabin is adorned with premium leather and showcases supportive Recaro seats that offer both comfort and style.
Fifteen Eleven Design’s commitment to restoring and upgrading the Porsche 914 has culminated in a meticulously crafted restomod that bridges the gap between classic aesthetics and modern performance. Enthusiasts can customize the vehicle to suit their preferences, with options available for both left and right-hand drive configurations.
