Honda to Roll Out New H-Logo for EV and Hybrid Models Starting in 2027

New minimalist logo reflects Honda’s EV strategy, replacing current H-mark across products and dealerships.

  • New H-logo debuts in 2027 on EV and hybrid models, replacing design used since 1981.

  • Honda’s rebrand extends to dealerships, motorsports, and communication activities worldwide.

  • The updated emblem symbolizes openness and change in a new world with EV and AI integration.

Honda will adopt a redesigned corporate logo for its automotive operations beginning in 2027, making it the first major update to its iconic H-mark in over four decades. The new emblem will appear on next-generation electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as across dealerships, communication platforms, and motorsports activities.

The updated H-mark features a minimalist design with wider horizontal proportions and outward-tilting, vertical upper arms. Honda says the design resembles “two outstretched hands,” symbolizing the company’s intention to embrace new possibilities and serve evolving customer needs. The logo also removes the encircling border present in the current version.

Set to debut with the upcoming 0 Series of electric vehicles, the refreshed emblem will be introduced gradually beginning in 2027. It will apply to both fully electric and hybrid-electric models. Honda has not confirmed whether the updated logo will extend to future gasoline-powered models.

Beyond vehicle badging, the new H-mark will become the unified symbol for all of Honda’s automobile-related business, including retail outlets and global brand communications. Its implementation will vary by region and product cycle.

This is the third major revision to the H-mark since its original debut in 1963. It was previously redesigned in 1969 and again in 1981, the latter coinciding with Honda’s early manufacturing operations in North America. The current version has remained largely unchanged since a minor update in 2001.
