Infiniti is all aboard the hype train for the 2025 QX80. The brand-new full-size luxury SUV gets its latest teaser, this time showing off the driver’s seat headrest and talking up the new biometric cooling and Klipsch audio system.
The 2025 Infiniti QX80, the company’s full-size three-row SUV, will get a 1,200-watt Klipsch audio system. Infiniti says it will use 24 speakers that it calls “seamlessly integrated” into the cabin. Though the shot shows a speaker that dominates the seat headrest, which is tough to call seamless.
Infiniti’s list of speakers includes those headrests as well as four speakers in the roof. The headrest speakers let the driver route phone calls or navigation directions exclusively to their headrest, for privacy and to—in theory—let passengers stay out of the conversation with a nap or their own music. The company calls it “like having a private conference room on wheels.”
Second-row passengers get a new Biometric Cooling system. It uses an infrared sensor in the headliner to detect warm rear passengers and automatically adjusts airflow and AC to the middle row. Infiniti says it halves cooling time for second-row passengers.
Lastly, Infiniti says that all three rows are going to get “first-class” comfort. That includes massaging seats in the second row and a colour touchscreen. The first and second rows will offer heat and ventilation, with the third row getting heating for the first time.
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 will be fully revealed on March 20th. It will then be on display at the New York International Auto Show.
