Koenigsegg announces today that the 125 copies of the Jesko were sold out, only 5 days after being unveiled in Geneva.
Launched at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show a few weeks ago, the Koenigsegg Jesko is already sold out.
Koenigsegg announced earlier today that the 125 copies of the Jesko had been sold.
Of the 125, 83 had already been reserved even before the car was unveiled. Koenigsegg received a deposit for the other 42 cars within 5 days of its unveiling.
“The new Koenigsegg Jesko is the highest volume production run we’ve ever planned,” said Koenigsegg Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg. “For it to have sold out within days of its unveiling is both humbling and a wonderful testament to the outstanding crew we have at Koenigsegg.”
“From the visionary work of our designers, engineers and technicians to the incredible job done by our sales team and our global network of Koenigsegg dealers – it took a great team to bring the Jesko to the world,” added von Koenigsegg. “We are very thankful for the reception it’s received from the press, the public and of course, our growing family of Koenigsegg owners.”
The production of the Jesko, which is set to one per week, will start towards the end of 2020 and will be available in two versions, the Track or Top Speed variants.
Let’s remember that the Koenigsegg Jesko will be the world’s first 300 MPH car according to the manufacturer.
As for the engine, the 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 1,280 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque on standard gasoline. Using E85 biofuel, this same engine will generate 1,600 horsepower.
