Lamborghini had a really good 2021. And 2022 will probably be another excellent year for the Italian automaker. Despite sales going in the right direction, the supercar builder will readjust itself and welcome electrification as an integral of its product lineup as early as next year.
Only a few years ago, Lamborghini considered electrification as more of a burden and an obstacle in delivering the kind of performance its customers expect. Things have evolved and changed dramatically in these few short years and adding an electric motor (or more) and a battery has become a way to achieve greater performance.
The first hybrid to launch is expected to be a version of the Aventador for 2023. A Urus PHEV should follow in 2024 and for 2025, a hybrid Huracán will become available. Once these hybrids are on the road, Lamborghini will focus on its first full battery electric vehicle.
Details about this EV are limited however Electrek reports that it will probably be a four-door vehicle for daily activities and commutes. It will likely go live in 2028 or thereabouts.
