  • MINI Aceman, a compact crossover, features an all-electric drivetrain and modern “Charismatic Simplicity” design.

  • Equipped with up to 406 km range, 218 hp, and fast charging, blending performance with efficiency.

  • Offers immersive digital experiences with AI voice assistant, customizable ambient settings, and advanced driving aids.

British automotive marque MINI has unveiled its first fully electric crossover vehicle, the Aceman, representing a bold new step for the brand known for its iconic compact cars.

The Aceman combines MINI’s traditional emphasis on agility and clever use of space with an all-electric drivetrain and crossover design suited for urban environments. At just over 4 meters long, it slots between the MINI Cooper hatchback and the larger Countryman SUV.

“The MINI Aceman brings a new level of excitement to our all-electric lineup, packed with a truly enjoyable immersive digital experience,” says Stefanie Wurst, Head of MINI. “The MINI Aceman is perfect for navigating crowded city streets, while maintaining the versatility and functionality of a Crossover and the Go Kart feeling you can expect from a MINI. I am certain that the sleek design, the performance, and the versatility as a 5-seater Crossover, will make the MINI Aceman a resounding success.”

Sporting a fresh design language called “Charismatic Simplicity,” the Aceman has a purposeful yet minimalist look. The front features an octagonal grille, angular LED headlights, and a low stance. Its flanks are sculpted with crisp lines and distinctively shaped wheel arches.

Inside, the Aceman prioritizes intelligent packaging, with five seats, a panoramic glass roof, and up to 1,005 litres of cargo space. The dashboard incorporates a circular 9.2-inch OLED touchscreen powered by the new MINI Operating System 9 interface.

Two powertrain options will be offered initially. The Aceman E has an 184 hp electric motor, 42.5 kWh battery pack and 310 km WLTP range, while the sportier Aceman SE ups output to 218 hp, has a 54.2 kWh battery and 406 km range.

MINI claims 0-100 km/h times of 7.9 and 7.1 seconds for the E and SE respectively, illustrating the brand’s continued focus on driving dynamics. The Aceman’s chassis features a precisely tuned damping system and steering for agile, go-kart-like handling.

Beyond traditional performance, the Aceman incorporates intelligent technology like an AI-powered voice assistant, customizable ambient lighting and sound modes, and advanced driver aids, including remote parking capability.

“The Aceman redefines the modern MINI experience with immersive digital features and electrification while keeping our heritage of creative design and pure driving fun,” said Oliver Heilmer, head of MINI design.

Efficiency is also a priority, with the Aceman optimized for fast DC charging up to 95 kW that can replenish 10-80% of battery capacity in under 30 minutes when connected to a high-power station.

Pricing details for the all-electric Aceman have yet to be announced. However, for context, in Canada, the all-electric MINI Cooper SE was last priced starting from $48,190.
