New 2020 Mercedes CLA Live From the CES Tomorrow

The first generation CLA was an unmitigated success. From what we can see, the second generation will be even hotter!

When the first generation CLA-Class launched nearly six years ago, all automotive media immediately figured out that the car was going to be a massive hit. Its 4-door coupe design, inspired by the CLS, looked far more upscale than the sticker price suggested.

At the new Mercedes A Class launch, Mercedes reps hinted that the next CLA was going to move up a notch from its current position as the second rung in Benz’s line-up, ahead of the C Class and above the old B Class. It is also expected to be slightly larger overall than the outgoing car.

The released teaser images of the 2020 Mercedes CLA reveal a front fascia and dashboard that remind us of the new A Class. Factor in the CLS Coupe-like rear tails and cool orange accents that will differentiate the Edition 1, or launch edition of the new car, over the regular trims and we’re once more convinced that the new CLA will be a hot number.

The official unveil of the new CLA takes place tomorrow in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
