Between you and us, we think BMW wants to take over the world… Shh! In the last 10-12 months alone, the Bayerische Motoren Werke has released/introduced/launched the new X4, X5, X7, Z4, 3 Series and 8 Series! Talk about covering the full gambit, from crossovers to sedans, to roadster and to their all-new flagship car.
The new 2019 8 Series is making big Bimmer fans drool but the one version everyone’s truly anticipating is the ultimate 8, the M8. Be it the Coupe, Gran Coupe or the Convertible, all will surely be mind-blowingly good.
Production of the car begins shortly but BMW’s still being somewhat shy with precise details. They have announced that the M8 will be powered by an M TwinPower Turbo V8 that will produce more than 600-horsepower. Sounds like the M5 Competition’s 617-horsepower get-up to us.
The clear piece of info is that all the power will be sent to all four wheels via an M xDrive all-wheel-drive system which will feature a rear-wheel bias, and, best of all, a 2WD mode. Imagine that, a FWD BMW M8… We’re kidding!
The M8 Coupe arrives sometime in 2019 followed by the others later on.
