Longest distance now 465 km for a higher price
Nissan shrinks trim grade offering
Nissan has just priced the Ariya EV for 2024. The model doesn’t change for the new year, but neither does the price. However, Nissan has simplified the lineup, reducing the number of trim levels and dropping the longest-range option.
The 2024 Nissan Ariya starts from $52,998 for a front-drive 214 hp Engage trim level. That comes with the smaller 63 kWh battery pack and 348 km of range.
Nissan will also offer the 2024 Ariya in Evolve e-4orce AWD and the smaller pack, Evolve+ FWD with an 87 kWh pack, and Evolve+ e-4orce and Evolve+ e-4orce with platinum package. The top model stickers for $69,998. It comes with 389 hp from its two electric motors and a total range of 438 km.
Gone from the lineup is the Venture+ model, which was the longest-range version of the electric crossover. Its estimated range was 489 km, leaving the longest range model now the Evolve+ FWD at $62,998 with 465 km.
The range might be missed, but the price change will likely be an even bigger deal. The 2024 Evolve+ is $2,000 less than last year, but still $3,500 more than the Venture+. That leaves buyers with less range for more cash.
We’ve reached out to Nissan for comment and will update when we hear back. The 2024 Nissan Ariya should be at dealers in Canada soon.
