Two of Ringbrothers’ latest builds, the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 “UNKL” and the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro “VALKYRJA”, were unveiled at SEMA.
The Ringbrothers always bring to SEMA cars that will stop you in dead your tracks. Their builds are always showstoppers. This year is no different with the unveiling of their 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
VALKYRJA, the name given to their 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is what the Ringbrothers called their “most ambitious project to date”.
“We try and top ourselves every year, and this build was no different,” said Mike Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers. “This build was unlike anything we had attempted before, both in design and execution. The result is a car with a classic look but entirely modern underpinnings, materials and technology. It’s the perfect mix of style and performance.”
For VALKYRJA, 3D printing and CNC machining were used to create the custom parts. Under the hood, you will find a 416-cubic inch Wegner Motorsports LS3 topped with a 2.9-litre Whipple supercharger pushing 890 hp. The engine is paired with a Bowler six-speed Tremec “that has been reworked to support the extreme horsepower” says the Ringbrothers.
Like the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the VALKYRJA is based on the Norse mythological figure Valkyrie and was chosen by the car’s Belgian owner.
The second car the Spring Green, Wisconsin shop unveiled at SEMA is the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 “UNKL”.
Featuring a 520-cubic-inch Jon Kaase Boss engine, the 700-horsepower Mustang is the first Mach 1 to leave the Ringbrothers garage.
To give the car a more aggressive stance while preserving its classic look the Ringbrothers did a lot of custom work. The body was extended by an inch on each side, the carbon-fibre and steel panels were all reshaped and so are the bumpers.
To see all the details on these two builds be sure to go see them in person on the show floor of the SEMA Show. If you are not in Vegas, you can still see all the custom work done by checking out the massive galleries below.
