It’s a few days before a major auto show and that means it’s teasing time in the automotive industry. The latest model to show a bit of sheetmetal is the next generation of Ram’s most powerful and capable pickup lineup.
The 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 HD series will indeed debut at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday and promises to be the most rugged heavy duty Ram pickup ever. A teaser image released earlier this week shows part of a muscular grill which is common place on this type of pickup with big and bold headlights to boot.

We expect the new Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups will be massive, but will they be as in-your-face as the new Chevrolet Silverado HD? That remains to be seen.
What’s certain is that they will have more towing capability, more horsepower, and more torque than the outgoing Ram 2500 and 3500 models. Ram also promises that they will be best-in-class for just about everything that matters.
The current Ram 2500 and 3500 offer an available Cummins turbodiesel engine with 930 pound-feet of torque. When you equip it properly, you can tow over 30,000 pounds or nearly 15,000 kg. It wouldn’t be surprising if the next generation of the Ram 2500 and 3500 offer over 1,000 pound-feet of torque.
We’ll be in Detroit to tell you all about Ram’s latest heavy duty pickups, so stay tuned.
