Infiniti has taken the wraps off two concept versions of its QX80 at The Quail. The QX80 Track Spec and QX80 Terrain Spec demonstrate how the model can excel in two very different worlds: on the track or deep into the wilderness.

Track Spec focuses on ultimate on-road performance
Terrain Spec delivers uncompromising luxury off-road capability
“We wanted to unleash the expressive power of Infiniti design with these QX80 concepts,” said David Woodhouse, vice-president of Nissan Design America. “The QX80 Track Spec and QX80 Terrain Spec reflect two distinct expressions of strength and elegance, both pushing the boundaries of what is beautiful, powerful, and bold.”
“High performance and off-road capability are emotional gateways to how drivers experience luxury today,” added Tiago Castro, vice-president of Infiniti Americas. “These concepts showcase two different mindsets among our customers, the thrill of on-road precision and the confidence to explore far beyond the pavement.”

QX80 Track Spec: The Most Powerful INFINITI Ever
The QX80 Track Spec commands attention with exclusive performance styling: custom side skirts, front splitter, fender vents, enlarged front intakes, and the aggressive grille from the QX80 SPORT. A rear diffuser integrates quad exhaust tips, while a matte black–blue metallic wrap, widened fender flares, and 24-inch alloy wheels give it an even more muscular stance.

Beneath the hood, the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 has been upgraded with a new turbocharging system and exhaust, boosting output to over 650 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque, a 50% increase and the highest power figure in Infiniti history. Precision engineering combines OEM internal components with select performance parts to maintain durability and everyday usability. Oversized Brembo front brakes ensure the enhanced performance remains under control, delivering an exhilarating yet confident drive.
QX80 Terrain Spec: Luxury Overlanding Redefined
The QX80 Terrain Spec takes the premium SUV off the beaten path with a raised ride height, all-terrain wheels and tires, and rugged fender flares. Adventure-ready equipment includes branch deflectors, a roof-mounted LED light bar, deployable rooftop tent, and reinforced underbody protection at both ends. A satin basalt-dark wrap enhances its rugged look, while a unique side-exit exhaust adds a purposeful trail-ready touch.

Advanced off-road driver-assist features from the production QX80 enhance its capability. The Invisible Hood View projects a clear image of the terrain directly under the front of the SUV, helping drivers avoid hidden rocks and obstacles. The Around View 3D Monitor with Moving Object Detection provides a rotating, third-person view of the surroundings, making it easier to navigate technical trails and tight off-road spaces.
