Acura Integra Images Leaked and our Worst Fears Might be Confirmed

Fans of the Acura Integra expect far more than a rebadged Honda Civic

  • Images were leaked from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

  • Based on the images, the Integra looks like little more than a rebadged Civic.

  • Hope remains that the North American Acura Integra will not be this car.

Just over a month ago, Acura officially teased the return of the widely loved and appreciated Integra. Many, including us, fear that Honda will not do the sporty car justice, and if we are to base our expectations on these leaked images, our fears will come true. But there is hope.

Honda Integra | Picture: China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

The leaked images come from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a regular source of pictures of models yet to be released. It is clear by said images that the China-bound Integra is nothing more than a mildly dressed-up Civic sedan. The glimmer of hope comes when comparing the front ¾ picture of this Integra with the one teased and shared by Acura.

Acura Teases the Return of the Beloved Integra

The Chinese Integra, as explained by CarExpert, will not be the North American Integra. The first teaser image shows a very different headlight design along with the Integra named stamped into the front bumper.

The new Acura Integra is expected in 2022 and will more than likely replace the ILX.
