Acura Shows Off Three Tuner-Built 2023 Integra Models

  • Three Integras Acura hopes launch loads of custom builds

  • The cars will now go on tour at some big shows

Acura has had three top tuners build their own interpretations of the Integra to try and recapture the magic of the sport compact icon. The cars come from Dai Yoshihara, Sara Choi, and Coco Zurita, and they’ll be going on tour at some very big events.

Daijiro “Dai” Yoshihara is a pro drifter who has also taken class wins at Pikes Peak and in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. So his Acura Integra is a racer, fitted with a six-point cage, Sparco racing seats, and other serious safety mods. It also has Spoon Sports exhaust, BBS wheels, RSR coilovers, and loads of EVS turning carbon aero parts.

“Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, Integra was always one of my favorite Acuras so it’s such an honor to get to build a brand new 2023 Integra,” said Dai Yoshihara. “I wanted to take the sporty theme from the iconic DB8 Integra and fuse it into my build.” If you’re wondering about that chassis code, and why it isn’t DC2, it’s because the DB8 was the four-door Type R from that generation that we never saw.

Drifter, host, and actor Sara Choi’s Integra gets parts from GReddy Performance including an intercooler. Tein Flex Z coils handle the Advan wheels and Nexen tires. The car has a custom body kit that Sara helped design, while inside it has a Dogfight wheel and Bride seats.

“My favorite part of being a car builder is that you get to express yourself however you want, especially when you’re building a car as exciting as the next-gen Acura Integra,” said Sara Choi. “It’s a thrill building my own version of such an iconic car.”

Last up is pro BMX rider and car builder Coco Zarita’s Integra. It gets A’Pexi exhaust, HPS intake, a GReddy intercooler, and Wilwood brakes. It also has carbon mirrors and other carbon parts, custom graphics, and a load of Momo bits in the interior.

Acura will first show off the cars at the Petersen Museum, then they’ll go to SEMA, Radwood LA, and the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
