Alfa Romeo Tonale Premiere on February 8th

The Alfa Romeo Tonale is a little late to the party but better late than never

  • The Tonale has the potential of being Alfa’s best-seller overnight.

  • Alfa Romeo calls the arrival of the Tonale “La Metamorfosi.”

We finally have a date! After what seems like a decade, Alfa Romeo will officially launch the long-anticipated compact premium SUV that will be the Tonale. The premiere even happens on February 8, 2022, at 9 a.m. EST.

Alfa Romeo Confirms Sub Tonale-Sized Brennero SUV on the Way

In reality, the Tonale was first revealed on March 5th, 2019, at that year’s Geneva International Motor Show. From the onset, the response to the Tonale was positive. The styling is pure Alfa Romeo and for that reason alone, success is almost guaranteed.

Various versions, from hybrid and plug-in hybrid, variants have been announced but it hasn’t been easy for the Tonale however. Its introduction has been delayed on a few occasions. Famously, one of them was due to failing to impress Alfa’s CEO back in April 2021. The trouble was that the Tonale was to officially debut in the summer of 2021.

Fast-forward to now, early 2022, and Stellantis will officially officially premiere on February 8th. The coming of the Tonale is so significant that Alfa Romeo refers to it as “La Metamorfosi.”
