Audi Shares Teaser Image Of Six RS Models Coming Our Way Before Long

We know about five of these but can’t share with you now. We can say however they’re worth the wait.

The desire for performance variants of numerous is very strong around the world. Those with deep pockets are ready and willing to shell out serious dough to own and drive a high-powered SUV or car, and Audi Sport and its ever-growing collection of Audi RS models.

Starting with the smaller vehicles, we have the Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback. The turbocharged 5-cylinder 2.5-litre is said to make a comeback and will produce somewhere around the 400-horsepower mark.

The first iteration of the RS Q3 was unexpectedly good. In fact, it was a complete riot and stupid fast. Sitting in this tall and narrow box which, a WOT, spewed silly 5-cylinder noises while the horizon went blurry felt so wrong it was right.

Next, we have the Audi RS 7, first spied over 18 months ago. This high-powered 5-door hatchback will be nothing short of a surface-to-surface missile with its expected 600-horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8.

Speaking of V8s, the most mind-meltingly cool and desirable will surely be the Audi RS 6 Avant. With semi-confirmed rumours that it will cross the Pond, everyone here at Motor Illustrated is currently pooling our money to buy one. So far, we’ve amassed a small $13.25 fortune. Only $99,986.75 left to gather. We can do it!

At the top end of the Audi Sport spectrum will more than likely sit the Audi RS Q8. This super-SUV will tackle the likes of the BMW X5 M and X6 M and the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S. Odds are it will harbour the same boosted V8 as the RS 6 and RS 7.

As for the final model, everyone’s best guess is a face-lifted Audi RS 4 Avant. The new Audi A4 sedan and Avant are out and about so a new RS 4 is logical.

All of these Audi Sport vehicles will be introduced between now and very early in 2020. We expect to see some as early as next month’s Frankfurt Auto Show followed by the Los Angeles Auto Show.
