The Bollinger B1 Electric Sport Utility Truck and B2 Electric Pickup Truck were introduced this weekend in “beta prototype” form.
Last month was quite the EV month in terms of new unveilings but the one that gathered the most attention was without a doubt the Porsche Taycan. There was also the really cool Audi AI:TRAIL quattro Concept that surfaced during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Now, another player entered the EV game and will take it off the beaten paths, Bollinger Motors. The Ferndale, Michigan-based company unveiled their B1 Electric Sport Utility Truck and B2 Electric Pickup Truck, a pair of twins featuring a 120-kWh battery pack.
With a curb weight of 5,000 lbs, they both get a range of approximately 200 miles (EPA) according to the company, but again, these are “beta prototypes”.
Both the B1 and B2 share the same setup, which is a dual motor (one in front and one in rear). This helps propel the off-roaders to 60 MPH in 4.5 seconds. The total output is 614 horsepower and 668 ft-lb torque.
Now, for the numbers and off-roading capabilities, the B1 and the B2 has a 2 Speed, Hi/Lo range gearbox, 15” ground clearance, 10” wheel travel and 7500 lb towing capacity.
For now, no words on pricing from Bollinger. The American company did, however, open-up the reservations. You can now reserve your B1 Electric Sport Utility Truck or your B2 Electric Pickup Truck directly on their site.
