Hyundai recently introduced the all-new 2024 Santa Fe to the North American market, marking a significant milestone in its SUV lineup. Revealed at AutoMobility LA, the latest model showcases Hyundai’s commitment to combining spacious design with innovative features.

Enhanced Design and Spacious Interior

The 2024 Santa Fe sports a bold exterior design, starting with an enlarged liftgate that not only provides practicality but also contributes to the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal. The front view of the Santa Fe is dominated by an elevated hood line and H-shaped headlamps, inspired by Hyundai’s new flat-profile logo. The SUV’s longer wheelbase contributes to a sophisticated silhouette, accentuated by clean side sculpting, flatter roofline, and robust wheel arches. This design is complemented by a selection of 11 exterior colors, including Phantom Black and Serenity White Pearl.

Inside, the Santa Fe offers a harmonious blend of horizontal and vertical design elements, echoing the exterior’s design language. The interior is marked by an H-shaped motif on the upper instrument panel and air vents, enhancing the sense of space. Among its notable interior features are a UV-C sterilization compartment and a dual wireless charging system for smartphones. The centerpiece is the Panoramic Curved Display, which integrates a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, adding to the vehicle’s premium ambiance.

The Santa Fe’s increased wheelbase not only enhances passenger comfort but also provides a versatile interior space. The use of eco-friendly materials in the interior and exterior highlights Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability. The vehicle is available in four interior colors: Obsidian Black, Supersonic Gray, Pecan Brown, and Forest Green.

Advanced Technology and Comfort Features

The 2024 Santa Fe is equipped with a range of technology and comfort features. These include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose 12-speaker premium sound system, and Over-The-Air (OTA) updates for vehicle systems. The Santa Fe also introduces Digital Key 2, allowing vehicle access and control via a smartphone.

For comfort, the Santa Fe boasts features like the first-row Relaxation Comfort seat with a leg rest and second-row power-reclining captain’s chairs. Practicality is further enhanced with a bilateral, multi-console storage space accessible to both front and rear passengers.

Powertrain Options and Safety Features

The 2024 Santa Fe offers two powertrain options: a 2.5-litre direct-injected, turbocharged engine, and a 1.6-litre direct-injected, turbocharged hybrid. The standard engine is part of the Theta III engine family, offering an estimated output of 277 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. The hybrid option, part of the Gamma III engine family, provides a combined engine and motor output of 232 horsepower.

In terms of safety, the Santa Fe is equipped with a range of driver assistance features, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Driver Attention Warning. Additionally, Hyundai introduces the Forward Attention Warning system in North America, using an infrared camera to track the driver’s eye gaze and monitor attention levels.
