Hennessey is quickly becoming a benchmark when it comes to tuning pickups. Their primary calling card is the addition of two extra wheels, and some kind of monstruous engine under the hood.
In the case of the Goliath 6×6, Hennessey took their Velociraptor 6X6 recipe, but applied it to a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. The new Goliath 6×6 gets 20-inch wheels, added ground clearance thanks to a raised (+20 cm) suspension, off-road BFGoodrich tires, and a redesigned bed.
Under the hood, the top-of-the-line 6.2-liter V8 engine from the 2019 Silverado is standard, but a HPE700 supercharger boosts power to 705 horsepower and 675 pound-feet of torque over the base 420 hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque.
If that’s not enough, Hennessey offers potential buyers a 808-horsepower engine option which also comes (thank God) with Brembo brakes to slow you down. We’re not sure how fast that model is, but the 705-hp Hennessey Goliath 6×6 gets to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds.
That’s a lot of metal coming your way very fast.
If you want a Hennessey Goliath 6×6, you’ll need to shell out $375,000 and be quick about it because only 24 will be built. If your financial advisor is not convinced, tell him or her that this thing will go nowhere but up in value.
