Ferrari F50 With Pontiac Sunfire Face Is A Lot Of Things

  • Rendering merges a stunning Ferrari F50 with a Pontiac Sunfire front end and Firebird wheels

This Ferrari F50/Pontiac Sunfire rendering making the rounds shows one of the great Italian classics of all-time merged with one of the most polarizing, oddly-constructed American cars ever built.

If cars were people, the Ferrari F50 would be a tall blond supermodel born into a family of Russian oil billionaires, educated at Oxford and running the world’s most successful beauty products line. She would constantly flaunt her lifestyle on Instagram on various yachts and private jets, but never in a sleazy or unprofessional way. She’d have over a million followers, easy.

The Pontiac Sunfire, on the other hand, would be a man sleeping in the basement of his parent’s house, waiting for his big break that would never come.

Let’s just say that the two would never meet.

And yet here we have this rendering and we’re not quite sure what to make of it. Some have said we should kill it with fire, but it’s actually very well done. It takes a mythical car that will live on for generations in the minds of automotive enthusiasts around the globe even when we are all flying around in electric pods controlled by satellites.

And the Sunfire. A car that was so bad in so many ways, and the reason why many will never buy a GM-built electric pod controlled by satellites.

The front end is taken from a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire GT and the wheels look to be from a third-gen Pontiac Firebird. The original F50 used in the picture is actually Mike Tyson’s 1995 Ferrari F50.

Oddly enough, this conversion seems like something Mike Tyson would actually buy.
