Ferrari has once again demonstrated its prowess in high-performance vehicles with the SF90 XX Stradale, setting a new lap record at the Fiorano Circuit. This achievement underlines the vehicle’s exceptional design and engineering capabilities, reaffirming Ferrari’s status in the automotive world.
The SF90 XX Stradale, a limited-series special edition based on the SF90 Stradale, has marked a significant milestone in Ferrari’s history. Recording an impressive lap time of 1 minute and 17.309 seconds, the vehicle set a new record at Fiorano, surpassing the previous record held by the standard SF90 Stradale with the Assetto Fiorano package by 1.4 seconds. This groundbreaking time was achieved with the aid of lightweight carbon-fibre wheels and high-performance Michelin Cup2R tyres, emphasizing Ferrari’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology in its designs.
On October 16, 2023, during the SF90 XX Stradale’s media launch, the record-setting event took place in the presence of leading automotive journalists. The lap time, certified by a specialist third-party motorsports agency, not only validates the car’s performance but also enhances its credibility in the eyes of the public and industry experts.
The Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale combines innovative engineering and exceptional design to deliver outstanding performance. Under its hood lies a 4L V8 twin-turbo engine, capable of producing a maximum power output of 797 hp at 7900 RPM and a peak torque of 593 lb-ft of torque at 6250 RPM. It also features a hybrid system with electric motors generating an additional 233 hp, and a battery capacity of 7.9 kWh, allowing for an electric range of 25 km. The dry weight stands at 1560 kg, resulting in a dry weight/power ratio of 1.51 kg/hp. It boasts a top speed of 320 km/h, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 6.5 seconds. The SF90 XX Stradale’s remarkable Fiorano lap time of 1’ 17.309″ is a testament to its superior design and engineering.
