On-set shots show Mercedes-Maybach on The Flash set
Part of DCEU with the third current Batman
There’s a new Batmobile. Sort of. It’s the car that is being driven by Bruce Wayne in the upcoming film The Flash. And it’s Michael Keaton behind the wheel. We’ll explain that a bit more, but what’s important is that this looks like a version of a Mercedes-Maybach concept from 2016.
Who is and who isn’t Batman is a bit confusing right now. It was Ben Affleck in the last movie, and it will be Robert Pattinson in the next one. But in The Flash, part of the DC Comics extended universe, Batman will be played by Michael Keaton. Who was Batman way back in 1989 and again in 1992’s Batman Returns.
First look #michaelkeaton on #TheFlash
This is his car, not Affleck’s, and I hear this is from the end of the movie and he’s now permanently in the #DCEU

The photo of Keaton comes from writer and YouTuber Grace Randolph, who Tweeted from on the set earlier this week about Keaton as Bruce Wayne and the photo included this car that’s so large it didn’t even fit into the frame. Another Tweet from Randolph said that Keaton will be more like a Nick Fury supervisor character than a traditional Batman.
It’s the car that has our attention, though, and it’s one that looks just about perfect for a mysterious billionaire.
The car looks to be a Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6. A coupe version of the electric vehicle was put on display at Pebble Beach in 2017. This looks like the paint and wheels of the cabriolet, but, of course, when it’s for a movie’s budget the sky is the limit.
Though it never saw production, this boat tailed wonder is one of the most graceful auto designs ever created. Here’s hoping it gets loads of screen time.
