The convertible supercar’s debut will take place in only a few short days in the Palexpo as part of the 2019 edition of the Geneva Motor Show. To say the car is breathtakingly gorgeous is an understatement.
The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Coupe and Spyder will share mechanical components. That is to say that both will feature the 630 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque, 5.2-liter normally aspirated V10, AWD including a rear locking differential and a 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual gearbox.
The fear with drop-tops is always added weight – a power-folding requires components to make it happen over and above the fixed-roof equivalent. The EVO Spyder tips the scale at 265 lbs. over the Coupe for a total of 3,400 lbs. Despite the extra girth, there’s no real tangible loss in performance.
The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Coupe reaches 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds while the Spyder requires 0.2 extra seconds. What’s more, the top speed remains at 2020 mph or 325 km/h for both versions. We think it’s still quick enough. On that subject, the roof drops in 17 seconds and will do its thing to speeds up to 31 mph or 50 km/h.
The car will arrive this spring with a base price set at $287,400 USD.
