Land Rover Defender Octa Gets Teaser Video, Full Reveal July 3

  • Twin-turbo V8 Defender coming in July

  • New video highlights extensive testing

JLR will officially reveal the most powerful Defender ever at an event on July 3rd. But if you’re one of the 1,000 North Americans who get to buy one in 2025, you’ll want to be on the list to see it before then.

The company is still keeping the Land Rover Defender Octa close to its chest. We know it’ll come with a twin-turbo V8, the company’s 6D dynamics suspension, and luxury features fitting this ultra-exclusive model.

To show off the Land Rover Octa to potential customers before the rest of us get to see it, JLR will hold special preview events around the world. There will be showings in the UK, Germany, Italy, Dubai, and Japan. The U.S. gets two, one in May in NYC and one in June in LA.

If you’re a prospective client, you can attend one of those preview events. Let your Land Rover dealer know you want one, and they may be able to get you in. Just 1,000 units are coming to North America for model year 2025, so there might not be many spots to be had at the events.

To go with the reveal date announcement, JLR has another teaser. A video showcasing the three years of development that the model has undergone to get ready for production. It includes race tracks, rally stages, and rock crawling in conditions around the globe. That’s 13,960 tests over and above what a standard Defender has to endure.
