Lucid Motors has pulled the covers off the Gravity X Concept, a bold reimagining of its Gravity SUV, purpose-built for off-road exploration.
Still a concept for now, but production-ready potential looms large.
The Gravity platform can deliver over 1,000 horsepower in its top configuration.
Gravity X receives a complete off-road transformation for superior trail capability.
Lucid has only just begun deliveries of its very first SUV, the Gravity, and the brand is already teasing us with the possibility of new variants. At Pebble Beach, the California-based automaker chose to showcase its vision for an off-road-focused derivative of the Gravity.

Rugged Capability Meets Aerodynamic Elegance
While preserving the sleek aerodynamic profile of the original Gravity, the Gravity X gains serious trail-ready upgrades: increased ride height, a wider track, custom wheels with all-terrain tires, redesigned bumpers to enhance approach and departure angles, integrated skid plates, and front and rear tow hooks for maximum off-road function.
A modular roof structure fitted with a cargo rack and LED light bars boosts utility and nighttime usability. Visually, the Gravity X stands out with Big Sur and Death Valley topographic engravings on the hood, an Astral Drift satin beige paint finish, bold orange accents, “Gravity X” badging, and Pebble Beach coordinates etched into the rocker panels to mark its debut.
Designed for Luxury, Performance, and Exploration
“This concept pushes the limits of what an uncompromising SUV can achieve,” said Derek Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Design & Brand at Lucid. “The Gravity X explores new off-road frontiers while showcasing the incredible capabilities of the Lucid Gravity.”

With its combination of luxury, electric performance, and rugged adaptability, the Lucid Gravity X aims squarely at rivals like the Rivian R1S. While still officially a concept, its production viability suggests that a dedicated off-road variant could soon join the Gravity lineup.
The Gravity X Concept was unveiled at a private event on the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links and will make its public debut on the Concept Lawn at the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
