Naomi Osaka Gets Her Own Special Nissan GT-R

US Open tennis champ Naomi Osaka is partnering with Nissan to create a special edition Nissan GT-R.

Naomi Osaka became the first Japanese player to win a tennis Grand Slam title last September when she defeated Serena Williams to take home the US Open crown. To commemorate Osaka’s victory and to celebrate her new role as brand ambassador, Nissan has rolled out a special edition Nissan GT-R which goes on sale today.

Unfortunately, only 50 units will be made available to the public, none of which are planned for North America. Based on the Premium trim, the Naomi Osaka GT-R is available in three colors – Midnight Opal, Brilliant White Pearl and Meteor Flake Black Pearl.

A few other cosmetic improvements are included, but nothing changes under the hood where a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 still sends 565 horsepower to all four wheels. Although the GT-R is getting up there in age, it’s still a proper high-performance car that can match any exotic in a straight line. Plus, you can use it 365 days a year.
