  • The 750S is lighter, faster, and more powerful than the 720S.

  • It’s available for order now and is priced from $324,000 US.

McLaren has just unveiled its latest series-production model, the 2024 McLaren 750S, which brings supercar performance to new heights. Touted as the lightest and most powerful McLaren ever made, the 750S boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 579 hp-per-tonne at its lightest dry weight, providing a 22bhp advantage over its closest competitor.

The 750S is built on the foundation of the renowned 720S, with meticulous analysis resulting in approximately 30% of components being new or changed. These improvements have made the 750S more powerful, lighter, quicker, and even more thrilling to drive according to McLaren – we believe them. Key to its lightweight design is the carbon fibre monocoque construction, making the 750S 66lbs lighter than the 720S, and an astounding 425lbs lighter than its nearest rival.

Additional weight reduction features include carbon fibre-shelled racing seats, the lightest wheels ever fitted as standard on a series-production McLaren, and a carbon fibre upper structure with a composite Retractable Hard Top (RHT) for the Spider variant, which weighs only 108lbs more than the coupe.

The heart of the 750S is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 740 hp and 590 lb.- ft. of torque. The 7-speed transmission has been optimized with revised ratios for even quicker acceleration. Performance is nothing short of breathtaking, with a 0-60mph (0-96 km/h) time of 2.7 seconds, and 0-124mph (0-200 km/h) reached in just 7.2 seconds for the coupe and 7.3 seconds for the Spider – both faster than their closest competitors.

Aerodynamics have also been improved, with increased downforce and better balance than the 720S. Inside the cabin, the new interior is even more driver-focused, setting new standards for engagement with displays and controls. The driver-centric column-mounted instrument display is flanked by rocker switches, a McLaren innovation that allows the driver to change suspension and powertrain modes while keeping their hands on the wheel.

Tech amenities include Apple CarPlay, USB-C, and USB-A for fast charging of devices. The exclusive McLaren Control Launcher (MCL) allows the driver to store a favorite combination of settings and return to them with the push of a button. A center-exit exhaust inspired by the McLaren P1 delivers a distinctive crescendo.

The 750S debuts the newest generation of McLaren’s acclaimed linked-hydraulic suspension – PCC III, featuring bespoke accumulator tuning, lightweight springs and dampers, and revised geometry for enhanced agility, feel, and feedback. The renowned McLaren electro-hydraulic steering has been sharpened with a faster ratio and new power-assistance pump for greater refinement. A new track brake upgrade is available, derived from the McLaren Senna system.

The vehicle-lift system, operated by a single button, raises the front of the car in just four seconds, faster than any other McLaren. Exterior design improvements include an extended front splitter, narrower eye-socket intakes, new rear wheel arch vents, a lengthened carbon fibre active rear wing, and new front and rear bumpers.

Interior themes of TechLux and Performance offer full Nappa leather or Alcantara and Nappa leather materials. High-profile options include Super-Lightweight Carbon Fibre Racing Seats and a new Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system.

The new McLaren 750S is available to order now, with US pricing starting at $324,000 for the Coupe and $345,000 for the Spider.
