Toyota will release 150 Corolla Hatchback FX units in Canada, arriving Fall 2025.
The FX Edition adds white wheels, sport wing, and unique interior stitching.
Toyota will launch a limited-run FX Edition of the Corolla Hatchback in Canada for the 2026 model year. Inspired by the now rare and ultra-cool 1987 Corolla FX16, the new special edition will be restricted to 150 units, all painted in a white exterior finish. Canadian dealerships are expected to receive the model starting this Fall.

Starting with the SE trim, the FX Edition adds several exterior enhancements, including 18-inch white alloy wheels with black lug nuts and a black vented sport wing. A heritage-inspired FX rear badge nods to the vehicle’s 1980s predecessor.
Interior updates include sport touring seats upholstered with suede inserts and orange stitching, complemented by similar accents on the steering wheel and shifter boot. The FX Edition gains an eight-speaker JBL audio system, a 7-inch customizable digital gauge cluster, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. A wireless smartphone charger is also standard.

The Corolla hatchback is powered by a 16-valve 2.0-litre inline-four engine, producing 169 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 151 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm, driving the front wheels via the standard Dynamic-Shift Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Toyota estimates a combined fuel consumption of 6.8 L/100 km.
Technology features include an 8-inch Toyota Multimedia system capable of receiving over-the-air updates. Compatibility with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard. The FX Edition comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. The suite includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and more.

Pricing for the 2026 Corolla Hatchback FX Edition and the broader Corolla lineup will be disclosed later in 2025.
The only real tragedy with this car? They should have kept the “16” and called it the FX16 Edition.
