Vinfast is working with ZF on semi-autonomous driving for its vehicles

Vietnamese-born manufacturer VinFast continues its tour of North American trade shows before its official integration on the continent scheduled for next year. This time, VinFast is taking the time to stop by CES in Las Vegas to show off its expertise, including other members of its electric vehicle family.

For now, however, VinFast is announcing plans to offer several Level 2+ in-vehicle safety features, including automated driving in heavy traffic, the “chauffeur” driving app on the highway or even automated parking via the valet app.

The manufacturer will not be alone in this venture, as VinFast has signed agreements with ZF in this area. These various systems designed to help the driver should appear on board the brand’s vehicles during 2022. So expect some level of assistance when the brand’s first vehicles arrive in the country next year.

“Our companies complement each other perfectly, as our mobility goals are perfectly aligned…The future is both electric and automated, as we seek to help protect our environment while providing transportation that improves safety, convenience and efficiency. We will work together to realize this vision for VinFast customers as we expand our sales worldwide,” said Le Thi Thu Thuy, VinFast’s global general manager.
