Volkswagen Canada revealed the pricing and details for its refreshed 2025 Taos compact SUV. The updated model features a new exterior design, enhanced technology, increased power, and an eight-speed automatic transmission for all-wheel-drive variants.
The 2025 Taos will start at $29,795 for the Trendline front-wheel-drive model and $31,795 for the Trendline with 4MOTION all-wheel-drive.
Exterior updates include a redesigned front end with a new bumper and grille. The vehicle now comes standard with LED projector headlights, while an Adaptive Front-lighting System is available on higher trims. Connected taillights and an illuminated Volkswagen badge enhance the rear appearance.
Inside, the Taos features a revised dashboard with a new 8-inch floating infotainment screen. Under the hood, the 1.5-litre turbocharged engine’s output has increased from 158 to 174 horsepower. All-wheel-drive models now utilize an eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous dual-clutch gearbox.
The Trendline trim offers four exterior colour options and includes 17-inch alloy wheels for front-wheel-drive models or 18-inch wheels for all-wheel-drive versions. Standard features comprise heated front seats, a digital cockpit, and various driver assistance systems.
The Comfortline trim, starting at $35,295 with 4MOTION all-wheel-drive, adds 18-inch wheels, a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, and expanded colour choices. A panoramic glass roof is available for an additional $1,200.
For $36,995, the Comfortline Black Edition focuses on black design elements, including 19-inch black wheels and mirror caps.
The top-tier Highline trim begins at $38,995 and includes 19-inch machined wheels, satellite navigation, ventilated front seats, and customizable ambient lighting with up to 10 colour options.
Volkswagen Canada states that the 2025 Taos will be available at dealerships later this year.
