Polestar has its sights set on 2022. Based on the recently shared information, not only will the Swedish electric automaker launch the highly-anticipated Polestar 3 but they will nearly double the number of “Spaces,” or showrooms globally.
Over the next three years, Polestar will introduce a new model and the party starts in 2022 with the Polestar 3. The sporty 4-door crossover has all the makings to become a success with extra space and the all-important rugged design cues. Production of the 3 production will begin at Volvo’s Cars plant in Charleston, South Carolina, in late 2022 and deliveries follow shortly thereafter.
“We will build in America for Americans,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO. “Polestar 3 is planned to be launched in 2022 as a premium electric performance SUV that will define the look of SUVs in the electric age. It will also be the first Polestar vehicle to be built in America.”

To support the introduction of the Polestar 3, Polestar will grow its number of showrooms to 150 from the current 86. In the US alone, the number will go from 25 in 2021 to 38 in 2022, and up to 50 by 2023 according to Automotive News.
